UK-based Edale has announced the sale of a four color 510mm fully servo driven Gamma flexo printing press to its customer, Halwani Brothers, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Gamma, which is Edale's servo-driven printing and converting system, combines print quality with features ensuring high speed changeovers, lesser downtime and lesser wastage.
Halwani Brothers production director Bhardawil said they found the existing Edale E430 machine to be reliable, but their increasing production needs forced them to invest in a higher version Edale Gamma press to meet demands.
"There was never any doubt that we would pick anything else when we visited the UK and saw a Gamma running in its production environment and were very impressed by the capabilities," Bhardawil said.
The E430 press purchased by the company many years ago is still running production 24 hours a day, seven days a week, said the company.
According to the company, the system has servo drives on each print head providing pre-register, auto-register and print length control features, which sees to it that job change times and setup wastage are reduced, when combined with the print head design.
